以前、単なる暇つぶしのつもりで観た人生相談の切り抜きが非常に面白かったんです。
その人生相談が書籍になるという情報を得て、気になっていたので、早速購入して読んでみました。
ここでは、印象的だった箇所をピックアップしつつ書籍レビューしていきます。
結論から言うと、こういう方にオススメできる一冊です！

書籍紹介 – ８０万人が視聴する「忖度しない」人生相談

感想
上司のミスを指摘するのではなく、仕事上で発生している問題を報告して、一緒に解決する。
「自信がないくせにプライドが高い上司への接し方」という質問内容に対する岡田氏のアドバイスなのです。
これほんと的を得ている回答だと思ったので、「そうだっ！」と膝をうってしまいました。
相談者さんの伝え方に対して、相談者側の「上司の人格、能力はこうあるべし」いう考え方に対しても問題があるとやんわり伝える。
「他人の欠点を自覚させて自己改造を求めるというのは、相談者の自己満足に過ぎない。」
そこで、自分が嫌な思いをしないように実害を減らすべく、ミスを指摘するのではなく、一緒になって問題を解決するように振る舞うのが最善の策であることをアドバイスする。
これって、すごく現実的ですし、組織としてもこちらのほうがいいに決まっています。また相談者さんにとってもこのような仕事の仕方をしていれば評価されてくると思いますし、まさにWin-Winの考え方だと思いました。
才能はなくても能力は開発できる。
「才能の見つけ方を教えてください」という質問に対する回答のなかのひとつ。
「才能は人のできないことをあたりまえのようにできてしまう。自分にとってはできて当たり前で、周りの人が驚くことがあったら、それが才能。」と、才能と能力は別という前提を強調します。
その上、才能がなければ、「周りで必要とされている能力を伸ばす」ことを相談者さんにアドバイスします。ウーバーイーツの仕事であれば、地図を早く読めること、中身をこばさず運ぶ能力などです。
すごく現実的な回答で、なんか読んでいてスッキリしました。
才能がなければ能力を伸ばす、社会で生きてくにはほんと大事なことだと思います。
意見と感想は異なる。言語化するのが苦手。
「自分の意見や感想を言語化するのが苦手」という相談ですが、私も小学校のころの国語ができなかったことが尾を引いており、自分がもっているボキャブラリーが少なく、何か人にものを伝えたり説明するときに言語化できなくてモヤモヤするときが多いので、とても共感できました。
まず評価と感想は異なると岡田氏は言います。
評価は「美味しい」「まずい」などです。ただ、相手に向けて評価する場合には具体的に伝えないと、相手は改良のポイントが分からず困ります。
一方で、感想は訓練が必要で、「絵を描くときのデッサンをする行為に近い」と言います。「何本も何本も線を引いていくうちに、だんだん理想の線が見えてくる。中心の線が分からなくても、そのうちハッキリしてくるんです」とのこと。
その上での岡田氏のアドバイスとしては、まずは似たような作品を探し始めるのが良い。そうすれば、まずは「～のような面白さだっと」と伝えることができ、そこから相手の質問を通してディテールを増していけばいいということでした。
私もこの点は真似てみようと思いますが、まずはいろんな作品や出来事に触れて”引き出し”を増やして行かないといけないですね。
あとは、包括的に「この作品の全体的な面白さを伝えよう」や作品全体を伝えようなどとは思わないほうがよいとのことは勉強になりました。
一番おもしろかったワンカット、ワンシーンだけをキチンと伝えられれば残りはいらない。
たしかに他人から感想を聞かれると、全体から答えようとしてしまいがちですが、結局言語化がうまくできずにつまずくので、まずは一番印象に残った場面などを説明するのが良さそうですね。
